The Charleston Collection is inspired by the early years of the Art Deco era (1920-1939), near the end of 1924.
During
this period, women's newly-acquired right to vote gave them a sense of
empowerment that drove them to raise their skirt hems and indulge
themselves by decorating their bodies with flamboyant jewelry.
The
most
typical style of this period was the geometrical pattern, the use
of pot metal with pave set rhinestones. The rhinestones were
transparent at the beginning of the 20s. In this particular collection
from
Stephanie Browne, the use of rhinestones is very prominent. The
craftsmanship that goes into making these 1" width medallions is some
of the world's best. Stephanie Browne brings the finest tradition of
Art Deco jewelry to embellish today's most discerning woman.

1920s, when women came together and changed history forever."
